Get Involved

There's a lot going on in Birmingham and we would love to hear from you if you'd like to get involved. Here are some of our regular activities:

CONNECT groups

CONNECT groups are small discussion groups for those wanting to ask questions about the Christian faith and anything to do with God and spirituality. The groups normally last around six weeks and are very informal and open to anyone from any background or faith. The groups discuss questions like "Why does God matter?" and "What is God like?" and you can ask any other questions you like. These meet at various times during the week, get in touch for details.

SEED groups

SEED stands for Students Engaged in Evangelism & Discipleship. These are small groups that meet weekly for those who want to study the Bible, grow in their relationship with God and help other students discover God for themselves. We support one another in our lives as Christians and help each other to make the most of our time at university for God's Kingdom. They're open to all who are interested! They meet at various times during the week, there's probably a time that will suit you, get in touch for details.

Creative Evangelism Workshop

Every Wednesday at 3pm in Joe's Bar at the University of Birmingham Guild we meet to think about how we can creatively reach out to the students of Birmingham. We think up exciting and different ways to engage with the campus and help students think about how they can help others see their need for God in their lives.

Socials

We hold regular socials to bring together everyone in the Agapé Student Life society from across the different groups to have fun and perhaps do some specific activity. Everyone is welcome and students can bring along anyone who's not specifically involved in the group too. Socials often have a very short talk or story from a member of the society.

Prayer Walking

Each Sunday morning we meet at 8am by the University of Birmingham Clock Tower to spend around an hour praying for the campus and those who work and study there. Followed by breakfast in the Selly Sausage at 9am!

Summer Projects

Imagine spending several weeks this summer working hard, serving others and making real connections with students at a university in a completely different part of the world. Every summer we take students on an overseas project. Find out more here.

If any of this sounds appealing to you we'd love to get you more involved - just drop us a message and we'll get back to you.
