There are many great churches in the Birmingham area. Below you'll find a bit of information about some churches and a link to their website if they have one. If you're interested in attending a church but aren't sure where to go, or want to go with someone please get in touch.

City Church
Meeting at 10.30am and 6pm
|
City Church is an independent evangelical church which is affiliated to the Fellowship of Independent Evangelical Churches. The church meets in Edgbaston High School for Girls which is beside the Botanical Gardens, 20 minutes walk from Five Ways railway station. “We believe that God changes lives through his word and our goal is to see lives changed by building up Christians in their faith and reaching out with the good news of the Gospel to those who do not know God.”
Students are encouraged to come along to the Sunday 6pm service followed by Student Plus at 7.30pm looking at the Bible, praying and eating pizza together.

Church Central
|
Churchcentral is part of the New Frontiers family of churches. The church meets in King Edward’s Boys School which is around five minutes walk from University railway station. The services are relaxed and relevant and the church’s vision is “to be a church that will make a difference in the heart of the nation by focusing on loving God, loving one another, loving those who don’t know Jesus and going to the nations”.
Students are an integral part of Churchcentral. The church aims to support and equip students to fulfil their God given potential.

St Stephen's & St Wulstan's
|
St Stephen’s & St Wulstan’s is an evangelical church which is part of the Church of England. The church meets in the Selly Park area of Birmingham right next to the University of Birmingham campus. “The church family exists to bring glory to God by following Jesus and serving others in the power of the Holy Spirit. All our services aim to have a strong emphasis on clear and relevant Bible teaching and a balance of contemporary and traditional music.”
Students are encouraged to come to the 6pm service held in St Wulstan’s church on Alton Road, opposite Tesco Express on the Bristol Road. Afterwards students get together till 9.15pm to open up the Bible, with a mix of in-depth study and real-life application to the student world, pray for one another, and share some food together.

Elim Church Centre
Meeting at 10.30am and 6.30pm
|
Elim Church Centre is a Pentecostal church part of the Elim family of churches. The church meets on Exeter Road, two minutes walk from Selly Oak railway station and only ten minutes walk from the University of Birmingham campus. “As a church, we place a high priority on contemporary worship, relevant biblical teaching, authentic community, every-member ministry and missions.”
About a third of Elim's congregation is made up of students, so student ministry plays a big part in the life of the church. Student groups include “Catalyst” meeting on Sundays at 1pm and “Inspire” meeting on Sundays at 8pm.

St John's
Meeting at 9.15am, 11am and 6.30pm
|
St John’s is a charismatic-evangelical church which is part of the Church of England. The church meets on Harborne High Street which is around 25 minutes walk from University railway station. “Students are an important part of the life of St John’s. We hope you can find here a family and support, a place to be discipled and equipped, and a people who recognise your needs, along with the skills and gifts you can offer to us all.”
The student activities take place after the 6.30pm service and finish around 9.30pm for tea and toast followed by a time of worship, prayer or discussion. This is interspersed with socials and some other events.

Oasis Church
Meeting at 10.30am and 6.30pm
|
Oasis Church is a charismatic church which is part of the New Frontiers family of churches. The church meets at the Edgbaston Cricket Grounds which is around 20 minutes walk from the University of Birmingham campus. “We are a community of ordinary people from various walks of life who have a deep desire to know God and to make him known in our city, our nation and the world.”
The church has many student activities including small groups, Alpha, a weekend away, lots of student lunches and a summer ball.
