This summer we're sending teams to three different locations. They all promise to be an exciting adventure as you take steps of faith in following Jesus and his Great Commission. Details of the projects are below, and we would strongly encourage you to chat to an Agapé Student Life staff member or a trusted Christian friend about which project to go on. Of course you must talk to God about it too!
Where will we go?
Spain
When will we go?
21st June - 9th July 2013
How much will it cost?
£850
How big will the group be?
Approximately 10-15 people
What can we expect?
We'll spend a week serving in an Agapé owned guest house in Ligonde which is along the Camino de Santiago trail in the north-west of Spain. Whilst there, we'll prepare the house for pilgrims to stay overnight, providing them with food and entertainment, as well as using this as an opportunity to share the gospel with them and any others we encounter from the trail. Then, we'll head to one of the major Spanish cities and run an English club for Spanish students, helping to improve their conversational English as well as get them connected with the existing campus ministry there.
This will be a great opportunity to:
- Meet people from a host of different backgrounds
- Gain great experience in serving others and in evangelism
- Use your natural gift of speaking English to bless other students
- Grow in your faith through serving alongside others and seeing God at work
The application deadline is Friday 5th April 2013.
Where will we go?
Kazan, Russia
When will we go?
1st - 21st July 2013 (TBC)
How much will it cost?
£1,600
How big will the group be?
Approximately 10-15 people
What can we expect?
The aim of the summer project to Kazan is to be involved with reaching students from universities in Kazan who are involved in stewarding for the World Student Olympics which is being hosted in Kazan this summer. These students have been hand-picked by their universities as ambassadors of those universities and as such are those who have the potential to be well respected professionals and leaders in the future. They will be talking to visitors and welcoming people and we want to meet, reach out and witness to these key students.
All in all, it's a great opportunity to be stretched and grow in serving God, to reach out to students in Kazan and to bless the movement there.
The application deadline is Friday 5th April 2013.
