How can FamilyLife help you?
Typically the FamilyLife team will partner with churches to provide or support one of the following programmes:
Weekend Conferences
This is an ideal way to 'invest a couple of days in your marriage'. Trained speakers address a variety of common marriage issues, highlighting the nature of the issue and the biblical perspective. As ever there is an application emphasis. Participants will be given time for personal discussion and will be encouraged and assisted to to build action plans together. It is this vital 'application' that makes the difference!

Homebuilders Study Groups
These studies really make a difference! They reveal God's plan for marriage with supporting scripture and teach about living and enjoyiong Christian life. There is a huge range of material available suitable for couples in any stage of marriage.
Small groups of 4 or 5 couples meet in a home. A typical evening would consist of a shared meal and fellowship, followed by a study. Between each meeting partners are encouraged to arrange 'dates' together during which they are guided to discuss and build action plans to apply the teaching in practice, these 'dates'are fun and life changing. Group meetings would occur every 2 or 3 weeks with the 'dates' taking place between each meeting. One of the couples would take facilitating responsibility fro the group meetings. (NB. They do not need to be experienced Bible teachers).
Whilst only a short term commitment is required, from our experience, once a church starts a Homebuilders programme then the participants don't want to stop !
If there is interest in starting a Homebuilders group then it is suggested that potential leaders attend a weekend conference as a first step. More info on each of the Homebuilders studies
