Join Us!

If Jesus means everything to you, and helping others to discover him appeals to you, why not consider joining our team? Agapé UK is made up of staff and volunteers who have responded to God’s call, “Who will go for us?” with the answer, “Here I am, send me!”

It’s not for everyone, but if you’re willing to lay down all hope of an ordinary life, it might be that God would call you to serve him full time, as a career.

There are many different roles within Agapé UK, requiring a wide range of skills – perhaps there is something that would match the skills and experience that God has given you?

Opportunities with Agapé UK

Do you get excited about the idea of helping students, business people, families, or communities discover Jesus together? There are openings for full time staff in all of our field teams around the country, as well as opportunities to serve overseas. We provide on-the-job skills training and a course of theological development for all of our field staff.

You can find out more about the activities and vision of our diverse teams around the country, by taking a look at their information and donation pages here. If you think a year out or a career with Agapé UK could be for you, get in touch below.

Like many other Christian charities, Agapé UK staff members raise funds to cover their own salary and expenses. With plenty of training and help, staff members develop a team of people who regularly pray for them, encourage them, and give financially towards their work. This can seem daunting, but for over 50 years, God has provided for hundreds of UK staff in this way.

If you are interested in a role in our Field Based Team we’d love to hear from you.

If you want to be involved in helping people to discover Jesus, and have a degree or specific professional skills that you love to use, this might be the right place for you.

Agapé UK’s Operations, Communications, and Human Resources teams (known as the Central Team) serve and care for Agapé staff working around the UK and beyond. They provide vital support for our field teams in a variety of areas, including finance, communications, resource development, fund development, project management, digital strategies, IT and conferencing. They also provide member care and facilitate the training and development of our staff, supporting the leadership in each area of ministry.

We’re keen to give our staff opportunities for Continuous Professional Development, so that you can be kept up to speed professionally. Some staff will be given the opportunity to spend part of each week working alongside one of our field teams, connecting with students or with business professionals.

If you are interested in a role in our Central Team we’d love to hear from you.

University graduates can spend a year with Agapé UK, either here in the UK or overseas.

Agapé UK’s Internship Programme is designed for university graduates who want to make their lives count for God, but know they need help to be more effective. Graduates can spend 1-2 years as part of one of our Student Ministry teams in the UK, helping university students see, hear and understand Jesus’ message.

Opportunities are also available for graduates who want to use their degree or professional experience in Operations, Communications or Human Resources or, for those who would like to get involved in humanitarian work, with our aid partner GAiN (the Global Aid Network).

Regardless of which option you choose, you will be equipped with the tools you need to live a radical life of service and influence, wherever you end up in the future.

You will receive high quality training and practical experience:

  • Learning to engage with people and communicate Jesus’ message
  • Getting to know Jesus better and deepening the foundations of your relationship with him
  • Increasing your knowledge of the Bible
  • Investing your life in others so they, in turn, can do the same
  • Maturing in character and vision

With plenty of training and help, Agapé Interns raise funds to cover their living costs and training during the Internship Programme.  They develop a team of people who regularly pray for them, encourage them, and give financially towards their year with Agapé. This can seem daunting, but for over 50 years, God has provided for hundreds of UK staff and interns in this way.

What could God do if you gave him one year of your life?

“And Jesus came and said to them, “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you. And behold, I am with you always, to the end of the age.”” (Matthew 28:18-20)
