What’s the process for applying to do Agapé UK Study Abroad?

  1. Once you have confirmed your overseas placement with your university or college, get in contact with us at globalmissions@agape.org.uk to find out whether we can connect you with an Agapé team in the location where you will be going to study. Feel free to also contact us with any questions that you might have.
  2. You can also begin to fill out an online Application Form, which you can find here.
  3. We ask that you provide us with two references. Choose your referees: the first should be a leader in your church and the other an Agapé UK staff member, or, if that’s not possible, a trusted Christian friend (someone who knows you and your spiritual journey well). Send your referees the link to the online Reference Form, which can be found here.
  4. Once we receive your application we will review it and let you know if we have been able to arrange a placement for you in a team. If you are accepted, you will receive a Welcome Pack in the post with some tools and resources to help you get started right away in your preparation for your Agapé UK Study Abroad experience. Your Welcome Pack will also include your Workbook, which contains useful articles and studies that you will work through whilst you are away. We will also introduce you to your experienced coach, who will connect with you virtually once every 2-3 weeks to help you with your training.

Please note that the programme is self-funded. We encourage applicants, upon acceptance, to fundraise to help cover your expenses. Agapé UK will offer advice and support to help you in your fundraising!
