Working together we can fully express God’s love and character as we each bring our best. This is why we value working together in teams and why we invest in the personal development of each person. We want every staff member to step into all that God has created and gifted them to be.

This desire to rely on one another goes another step further into how our roles are funded. Perhaps not the typical way of how your income is financed, this is an expression of our dependence on God and those who come together with us in partnership. This model of partner funding means that, closely supported by us, you will build a network of individuals and churches that will support your work financially and in prayer. This way your partners also become part of fulfilling our vision and mission!

Agapé UK staff benefit from dedicated support for career development, including training, coaching, and career planning. Opportunities exist to gain wider ministry experience, grow in faith, and quickly take on responsibility, with pathways into leadership roles within our diverse and international network.

Your spiritual life and our relationships with each other are vitally important. We express this through praying regularly in teams, ministry wide prayer days and our annual staff gatherings. During your first year on staff, you will learn about our core values in the New Staff Training and ongoing biblical study in our School of Theology.

Our staff highly value our flexible working arrangements that accommodate home and family needs. We support this through offering flexible and hybrid working, including part-time roles. Staff are encouraged to take time off in lieu when working outside of their normal hours. Our annual leave prioritises rest and enjoyment, and includes additional days for staff milestone years. Staff have the opportunity to take a sabbatical every seven years to take a professional and personal break – allowing you to reset and refresh yourself for the next phase.

We offer staff the opportunity to pursue further education alongside their roles with agreed time set aside for study, especially where these further equip and train staff in their field of ministry. These would be funded through your ministry partners.

Step by step application process

Initial Application – fill in the online Initial Application form to begin the application process.
Making contact – we will be in touch with you very soon after to discuss more about your application and ask for a bit more information.
References and Interview – we will send for references and arrange an interview with you. Your interview is an opportunity for you to get to know Agapé UK, as well as for us to get to know you a bit more. The desire of those who interview you, above all else, is to help you discover God’s best for you.
Decision – once all application materials have been received and evaluated we will make a decision and be in touch.
Ministry Partner Development – we will provide the necessary training to begin building your team of ministry partners – friends, family, churches who partner with you by praying for you and giving financially. Agapé UK will provide a staff member who will coach you and encourage you through this process.
Employment – once you have the funds in place to cover your salary costs, you’re good to go and you will be officially employed!
