Agapé UK provides a range of opportunities for people to serve abroad and to donate and support humanitarian work.
Ukraine Crisis and Refugee Aid in Greece
GAiN UK is a relief and development organisation, dedicated to mobilising people to respond in practical ways to poverty and crisis. Aid for refugees comes from donations from our partners. These are then distributed in countries where we have ongoing partnerships.
For Ukraine, we work with our GAiN offices in Europe in sending what our partners on the ground are asking for. For Greece, we send wash kits and nappies to help women cope with the challenges of living in a refugee camp.
In May 2022, we have sent a truck to Ukraine, containing 40 new electric hospital bed, 1 care home bed, 1.6 tons of hygiene products and 5,000 pairs of reading glasses. One partner donated three trucks containing food products and these were sent to Ukraine.

Water for Life
As part of our development project, we’re excited to expand our work to
include Water for Life.
GAiN worldwide has been working across Africa (currently Benin, Togo and Tanzania) to partner with local churches and communities to provide safe drinking water to rural villages. Aside from installing a deep capped well, training in hygiene and sanitation, gender sensitivity, family health and water committee is provided.

Collections around the UK
Our goal is to involve people in a hands-on response to poverty and crisis. Part of this is asking people to be collection points in their areas and communities. From as far as Orkney Islands to Belfast to the south of England, our 20-plus collection points have been gathering donated clothes and supplies, and we in turn have an overflowing supply of aid, ready to be sent to refugees. We dream of having 100 collection points dotted around the UK, to help reveal hope and restore life to those in need. Will you join us and be a collection point in your area?

Global opportunities for students
Agapé UK is an International charity, and we’re active in over 190 countries. Just as we’re building communities of students who are discovering Jesus together here in the UK, there are Agapé student communities all across the world!
At various points throughout the year we run Global Projects: 1–3-week opportunities for students to join a team volunteering with an Agapé student movement in another country.
Or, if you’re planning to spend a semester, or longer, studying in another country as part of your university degree, you can connect with an Agapé student movement in your overseas university by applying for the Agapé UK Study Abroad programme.
